About this Blog

Dear Great Soul,
With a flood of ideas coming to me over the last few months, I thought it would be fun to write them down and share them. It is a thrilling venture as writing has never been my forte in the past. Yet as I write this introduction, a half dozen other blogs are also spilling out of me.

During his final summer in U.S. in 2012, Swami Kriyananda--the founder of Ananda Sangha and direct disciple of Paramhansa Yogananda,--declared he wants all of us to be Swami Kriyanandas. I do not believe he meant for us to be exactly like him. He expressed this without judgement creating the space for the full expanse of our potential.

With Swami Kriyananda's passing last April (2013) I find it ever more important for us to actively continue his mission; to dive more deeply into the spiritual path and in turn to write, speak, and share his love, teachings, and devotion to Master.

For now I am calling this blog The Dance Into Divinity not just because I love the art form of dance, but also because life’s path is a dance to expose and unite with the full essence of God within us.

You can learn more about Ananda, Swami Kriyananda, Paramhansa Yogananda, and the other Master's in Ananda's lineage here: http://www.ananda.org/

I may refer to Paramhansa Yogananda as "Master" because he is a Master of yoga, the discipline in which I am studying. While these Masters are the main source of my inspiration, the ideas are universal.

This blog can truly only be considered a study as our beliefs and opinions tend to transform over time. Swami Kriyananda recommended we not even trust our own opinions. Until we have become perfected beings, everything will always be tainted by our current state of consciousness. Let us help each other discover the highest truths.

I make no commitments as to how frequently I will write, nor if I will have any more inspiration beyond what I have already written. But I thought I would open a door, not just for me but for all of us to share and grow ever more united in God's light.

With Love and Much Gratitude,
Avital

    1. Dear Christi,
Thank you for sharing this. I love the combination of the more modern music with the beautiful colorful ancient Buddhist traditions set in the ethereal mountains. It feels like it takes us to a new level and expansion in life.
      Much Love,
      Avital
